Brand new to the Olive Cooper collection is the Mayfair Envelope Clutch. This clutch bag is made from vegetable tanned leather, with brass detail. The Mayfair clutch has an internal zip pocket, and a hand-strap which can be detached. Vegetable tanning is an age-old tradition. These full grain leathers have no synthetic covering and are carefully finished by hand. Due to the natural tannins used, vegetable tanned leathers develop and antique over time, enhancing the authentic look and feel of the leather. The handbag is sprayed with a protective and waterproof coating before sold, but we recommend you use a protective spray or neutral protective cream regularly. Be aware that the leathers are dyed and as such for the first few wears they may transfer a small amount of colour onto light clothing. This is a typical characteristic of vegetable tanned leathers and will mean that your bag ages beautifully.
